The Great Garage Gallery

One of the major symptoms of my jigsaw puzzle obsession are the conflicting emotions I feel when I put the last piece in place. O.K., now what?

The puzzle’s complete, and I cannot get myself to just disassemble and put it back in the box. I’ve become too attached to them. That may sound irrational to the non-puzzler, but it’s true.

In an effort to preserve and enjoy my completed puzzles I decided to fill the walls of my garage with completed puzzles. With lotsa help from my son and his wife, we repainted the garage walls making room for about 50 completed puzzles. The 3 walls are now full and another 15 puzzles are stacked on the floor in an unused bedroom.

Now what?

I’ve recently been mapping out a marketing plan to sell the puzzles. Using basic corrugation and Elmer’s glue to stabilize the finished puzzles, they are now suitable for framing. My wife and I had 2 of our favorites professionally framed and we enjoy them everyday on display in our bedroom.

I’ve accumulated over 70 puzzles in the past few years. The objective is to sell them while I accumulate more.

Ultimately I have a much wider view of what Puzzling.com can be. I want to share my experience. The process of assembly is an outstanding learning experience for children of all ages. It can be a haven for adults of all ages who need or simply want more peace and quiet. Every puzzle has an interesting background story. Try it. Learn more about art, world travel, philosophy, sports, and that’s just a few of the most popular categories.

Visit the Gallery but, be careful, puzzling is addictive.
