C.C.C. or, the Crappy Car Campaign is my wild and crazy idea for raising large contributions to your favorite NPO, or Non-Profit Organization.
My initial research tells me that in reality, the idea may not be as crazy as it initially sounds. The inspiration for the concept came from the real neighbors we had about 8 years ago. Both the husband and wife (no kids) drove their own new Lexus’ for each of the 12 years we were neighbors. This guy barely spent a dime on his landscaping but, was committed to riding in style. He could have easily managed with one Lexus and one “crappy” car.
The photo you see represents the essence of my fund raising strategy.
If my neighbor had sold one Lexus, and purchased the car you see as “just in case” transportation, he could have given the remaining proceeds to a worthy charity. The following link provides a nearly endless list;
Taking it a step further, retirees can manage quite easily, as my wife and I have, with one vehicle, and contribute the entire proceeds from the sale of one car.
There’s enough wealth in this country to assist every legitimate non-profit organizations, including our public schools.
Take about 30 seconds and imagine the impact this campaign could have. Look at Habitat for Humanity as an example.
If you happen to know of a celebrity who’s willing to spearhead C.C.C., let me know.
