One of my favorite old songs is “I Get Ideas”. The essence of the love for the song stems from the fact that when I do get an idea, usually on the kooky side, the idea won’t go away until I act on it by either boring my family with it or, expressing it with a new article. Here goes!
I just turned 80 years old. I’ve been adjusting to full retirement for 15 years. One feature of full retirement is appointments, such as doctors, optometrist, dentist, and pediatrist. They become major events given the lack of anything else going on..
My latest scheme came to mind when I realized that my pediatrist and dentist appointments are scheduled in the same week. I said to myself “Self? Why can’t the two be combined?” The idea of simultaneous dental and toenail trim spawned the concept of a new business opportunity!
The “Foot and Mouth Salon”.
I had planned to provide a photo of what the simultaneous toe and tooth treatment might look like, but you will need to imagine it as I’m just too lazy to do it,
Talk about time saving! Not to mention the dentists’ and pediatrists’ savings in operating costs. The downside for me; no longer being able to converse with my pediatrist. And, this could challenge my capacity to tolerate pain.
Before I wrap this up, allow me share another business model combining 3 specialists — dentist, pediatrist, and proctologist. That vision will probably be with you for a while.
